My path, my yoga

Yoga is my life. My life is yoga. When I was 23 years old, I found my personal fulfilment in it. To me, yoga Yoga-Übung provides physical support and acts as a mental counterweight in a constantly changing world. In my classes, I try to pass the power and relaxation it gives to me on to my students. You can learn and experience the techniques of yoga with me, independent of your age and physical fitness level.

I practice and teach Hatha yoga with joy. In my courses, flowing movements, strengthening postures, and relaxing exercises form a recurring cycle. Yoga is many-faceted. With varied exercises, I will direct your attention to the infinite variety of Hatha yoga.

Hatha yoga: the body's path

Hatha means harmony, but it also means effort. The name is a combination of two Sanskrit words: Ha, the Sun, and Tha, the Moon. Hatha yoga seeks to unify active and passive energies. It aims at the balance between body and mind, and stands for a yoga path that focusses on the body. In Europe, it is the most well-known and most often practiced path of yoga. Besides body postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and techniques of deep relaxation (shavasana), it also addresses issues such as healthy nutrition, meditation, and the mind-sets and attitudes of the student.

The benefits of yoga

Yoga: living consciously

Yoga alleviates the causes of headaches and back pain, reduces tensions in your shoulders and neck, and strengthens your immune system. It also strengthens your body, makes it more flexible, and is the best way of preventing all kinds of pain and common diseases.
It increases your confidence and energy, and it enhances your power of concentration. Practicing yoga regularly makes you more powerful, efficient, and vital. You will learn to benefit from your inner strength and develop techniques to handle stressful situations in a more relaxed manner.

Body and mind in balance

On the one hand, yoga enhances your physical health. It supports the power, flexibility, and functions of different parts of your body. It can free you from blockages and stabilize your inner balance. Yoga helps you become more centred.
On the other hand, it also increases your mental stability, sharpens your senses and thoughts, enhances your self-esteem, and makes you a more charismatic person.

Yoga: an all-embracing philosophy

Yoga is India's oldest science of life, and it belongs to one of the six ancient schools of philosophy. It addresses body and mind, soul and breathing, calms the soul, and helps redirect our attention from the outer world toward the inner one. Its aim is the unity of body and mind, and in close communion with nature, yoga leads to the harmony and unity of those elements.
